M. Studio Events. We know first-hand what an undertaking it is to throw a once-in-a-lifetime event (all that planning and organizing and micromanaging, oh my)!
That’s where we come in. M. Studio Events is your very own Party Concierge™ — managing every aspect of your celebration, so you can focus on the memorable moments that matter.
We don’t just plan parties, we craft spectacular celebrations. M. Studio Events approaches each new party as a blank canvas — an opportunity to go bigger, shine brighter and bring your most decadent ideas to life. We value creativity, communication, originality and organization. We’re your partners, advocates, guides and friends from the first creative brainstorm to the last thank you note.
Think of M. Studio Events as your secret party planning weapon, managing each and every aspect of your celebration. Our job is to not only ensure that your event goes off without a hitch, but that your party — whether it’s a bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, milestone birthday, major anniversary or corporate event — is a truly special and spectacular celebration to be remembered by your family, friends and guests for years to come.
We start by getting to know you. Each of our events is uniquely crafted around you, your tastes and your passions — from the overall theme and logo, to custom save-the-dates, food and entertainment. Once we’re done strategizing, planning, designing and deliberating, we coordinate every piece of the party, taking care of all the details of the day so that you can let loose and enjoy the fun alongside your guests.
With us, you’re never just another name on the books. We form trusted, personal relationships with every client, and stay in touch long after the decorations are packed away. Ultimately, our greatest wish is to help you celebrate all the special milestone moments of your life and create priceless memories along the way.
After years of being the go-to for advice on party planning and design, I decided it was time to follow my true calling. I left fashion for good and shortly afterward, M. Studio Events was born. (Before founding M. Studio Events, I spent a decade working for fashion label Anne Klein, and then branched into children’s wear with the launch of my showroom, The Kids Company.)
One of our first big parties was actually for our daughter, Sammi. Her theme was “Sammi’s Midnight Birthday Bash” — we had photos and memorabilia of her life woven throughout the party in creative ways so everyone could see her “growing up.” Her bat mitzvah was a huge success and after that, requests for bookings started pouring in.
By now, we were bonafide party planners in NYC, having executed events at some of the city’s most prestigious and iconic venues. We transformed the Tribeca Rooftop, The Harmonie Club and Cipriani, among others, for magical celebrations.
When our son, Adam, turned 13, he wanted a bar mitvah bash to remember. So, I dreamed up “Adamcrombie” — a fully branded party themed around his favorite clothing store, Abercrombie & Fitch. We pulled out all the stops, and it was worth it! Adamcrombie went viral thanks to MitzvahMarket.com, and this super-charged celebration put us on everyone’s radar.
Four years in, I needed more hands on deck to help keep up with all the parties. My husband, Scott, was always behind the scenes helping me make it all happen, but it became clear that I needed him full time if M. Studio Events was going to keep growing. With Scott officially on board, I was able to focus solely on the creative aspect of the events — and on making each one as fabulous as possible.
M. Studio Events made a foray into corporate events in a big way in 2012, when Pepperidge Farm asked us to plan and execute a fabulous fete in honor of their first Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon. Then came Grumpy Cat, who asked us to help plan his birthday bash! You know you’ve made it when the internet’s most famous cat comes knocking!
Every year, the parties seem to get bigger and brighter. We planned some of my absolute favorite events during this time, including I.M. Beauty and MAINEly Jack. After nearly 10 years, I could not feel more proud, excited and eager for what the next decade has in store.
Dig out the disco ball. Pop open the bubbly. And dance like nobody’s watching — M. Studio Events is 10, and what a ride it’s been! After a decade of throwing parties for others, I decided it was time to fete yours truly, and celebrate with a shiny new look and feel for our brand! New logo, new colors, new website, new everything. But, of course, still the same party planning prowess. That’ll never change. To everyone who has been a part of this journey so far, thank you, thank you, thank you. Now let’s party!
Our first all-singing-all-dancing, fully branded event. We totally reimagined the venue, transforming a bar into an Abercrombie & Fitchy-style store, complete with fitting rooms (built from foam core boards) and piles of folded fabric designed to look like clothing. We printed the custom-designed ‘Adamcrombie’ logo on factory sample T-shirts, shorts and cologne boxes. There were even paper bags with photographs of Adam, shot like a sepia A&F campaign, and personalized retail receipts with the event details. My favorite part? The invites! We printed the invitation on an A&F-inspired T-shirt and mailed them in ‘Adamcrombie’ boxes, so every guest got true package in the mail.
This salon-meets-pamper party was inspired by the birthday girl’s initial, I.M., and her nickname, Beauty. The venue was decked out with products and accessories (think hair rollers, nail polish, eye shadow palettes and brushes)., and all attendees got branded eye masks, socks and water bottles. We wanted to make the girls feel empowered and uplifted — and send the right message about beauty — so we wove positive mantras like “Beauty is Nothing Without Brains” throughout the decor.
A New England sleep-away camp comes to NYC — that was the feel we evoked with MAINEly Jack. A replica bonfire and rolls of astroturf brought the outdoors inside. From the napkins with fabric name tags (a la the labels our parents put on our belongings at summer camp) to the wooden bunks and branded laundry bags, we wanted every guest — generations of summer campers — to feel a sense of nostalgia. And it worked!
